I'm a native Texan and this is the closest I've found to authentic TX BBQ in Colombia -- wow!! (We've sampled quite a few in Bogotá and Austin's outside of Subachoque). The spice rub and tenderness of the wood-smoked brisket were spot on, as was the homemade BBQ sauce on the ribs and pork belly. Several ingredients are imported to make sure the flavor profile is right, including for the super creamy Mac n Cheese. Don't miss the pie as well, we had the apple pie and the homemade crust was incredible. Really enjoyed our visit to Sam & Dave's and will be coming back!

This has to be the best American restaurant in all of Colombia. From the atmosphere, to the service, to the food. They wear aprons like a traditional American restaurant, speak english, and have amazing food. I had a smile on my face the entire time I was there, this restaurant made me feel like I was back in my country. Their banana pudding isn’t exactly like American ones but it is still amazing! All of the food is extremely accurate and I would highly recommend this place to anyone, especially Americans facing homesickness. This will solve ALL of your issues.

I was born and raised in the United States and have been living in Colombia for over a year now. Needless to say, I miss the food back home. When I first walked into Sam & Dave’s, I almost cried, it felt like a mini slice of the US. Then, I tasted the food and almost went to heaven. The food is authentic, delicious and the atmosphere and service is unbeatable! I even had my birthday party here, I love this place so much! The country music also adds to vibes!

Sam & Dave's is THE spot to go for legit, authentic Texas style BBQ in the Tenjo-Tabio area. The meats were wonderfully smoked and kept me eating until I couldn't have another bite. The owner is super knowledgeable and passionate about his craft, and the atmosphere made me feel like I was back home in the States. Special highlights for me were the spicy wings and fatty brisket.

I am an American that has been living in Colombia for a little over a year now. Sometimes I really miss the food back in the US but this restaurant brings me right back home. Everything from the atmosphere to how Dave treats his customers makes the experience incredible. And don’t even get me started on the food. Nothing short of very authentic American barbecue.
